Seasonal Beers: Spring
You've made it through the long, dark winter. Now, things are sunnier, warmer, and just plain worth celebrating. Bavaria boasts a tradition of spring celebration of tapping the first keg of Maibock. Spring beers are usually strong, dark lagers, bocks and doppelbocks. As in autumn, the recommended beers are maltier beers that are neither light nor dark and neither light-bodied nor heavy-duty. Alcohol content is generally one or two percent higher than that of summer beers.
