What it does :
Molasses can add a strong, sweet flavor to your beer. You can use it to make Porters and Stouts.
What it is:
This is the residual by-product of the processing of raw cane sugar. The impurities it contains add character and flavor. There are three grades available, which get increasing darker and less fermentable: light, medium, and blackstrap.
Molasses can be up to 5-10 percent of your fermentables.
Add molasses directly to the boiling wort.
