Molasses

What it does :

Molasses can add a strong, sweet flavor to your beer. You can use it to make Porters and Stouts.

What it is:

This is the residual by-product of the processing of raw cane sugar. The impurities it contains add character and flavor. There are three grades available, which get increasing darker and less fermentable: light, medium, and blackstrap.
