What it does :

Anise can provide a licorice-like flavor to your beer.

What it is:

Anise is a spice that has a distinctively strong, sweet flavor reminiscent of licorice or fennel. It comes as tiny, gray-green seeds.

Dosage:

Use up to 1 teaspoon of anise per 5 gallons. Add 10 to 15 minutes from the end of the boil.
