Cardamom

What it does :

Cardamom is used in Indian and Middle Eastern cuisine, including curries and the flavoring of coffee. Experiment with its use in your beer.

What it is:

Cardamom consists of plump seeds. It is highly aromatic and has a lemony flavor.

Dosage:

Use up to 1 teaspoon of ground cardamom per 5 gallons. Add 10 to 15 minutes from the end of the boil.

Drawbacks:

Use freshly ground cardamom to get the best flavor.
